Art and the Space Between: Iran-Japan, January 6th, to February 7th, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM

The exhibition “Art and the Space Between: Iran-Japan” aims to strengthen cross-cultural comparative studies and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and the interplay of art and architecture along the Silk Road. The exhibition will be held at the Negarestān Garden Museum January 6th, 2024, for a month.

Negarestān Garden Museum cordially invites all esteemed professors, researchers, students, and staff of the University of Tehran to visit this exhibition.

Art and the Space Between Iran-Japan Event Tour

The Unveiling of Two Rare Safavid Carpets (15:00-17:30 Thursday, Dec 26 / 2024): The Carpet Museum of Iran hosts a workshop and unveiling ceremony during Research Week. The event will take place on Thursday, December 26th, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the museum at the intersection of Karger Shomali and Fatemi Streets. The event’s highlight will be the unveiling of two rare Safavid carpet fragments. This is a chance for the public to learn about the history of Persian carpet weaving and to see these exquisite pieces in person. The event is free and open to all.

Yalda Night Exhibition Showcasing Kurdish Women Handmades (14:00-20:00 / Thursday and Friday/ Dec 12-13 / 2024): A Pre-Yalda exhibition at Haftdast House hosting a special event showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kurdistan through a stunning display of handwoven textiles, foods, and handmade crafts. The exhibition highlighted the intricate details and vibrant colors that characterize Kurdish art. Haftdast House is located in Tehran, Karim Khan Zand, Southern Khardmand, Samandarian, Num 10.

Haftdast House Food and Handicraft Exhibition (Friday / Dec 6 / 2024): This exhibition showcases the culinary and artistic talents of female artists from across Iran. Visitors can explore a variety of food and handicrafts, learn about different regional traditions, and support women entrepreneurs.

Persimmon Harvest Event in Kan, Tehran (Nov 30 – Dec 2 / 2024): The Persimmon Harvest Event in Kan, Tehran is a celebration of this delicious fruit.
