Tour Overview
Persian Walk offers a half-day paid Persepolis tour exploring Persepolis & Necropolis with transportation. In this tour, our storyteller’s guide entertains you with the stories of the Achaemenid & Sassanid dynasties.
Persepolis is the ceremonial capital city of Achaemenids, located near Shiraz. Darius the Great founded it nearly 2500 years ago. Then, his descendants developed the city and its palaces.
The Necropolis is a complex by a sacred mountain near Persepolis that we visit on the Persepolis tour. There are several king’s tombs there. Centuries after the Achaemenids, the Sassanids (another Iranian dynasty) made Ka’ba-ye Zartosht (the Cube of Zoroaster) and some rock reliefs there.
