Taft: A beautiful city to discover
A very common route for visiting Iran begins in Tehran and continues to Kashan, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Yazd. But if you’re a little more curious and looking for excitement in your trip, you’d probably like to explore some pure locations.
Taft is one of the most peaceful cities in Iran, and of course, it has a lot to show you.
The City of Taft, which means “Basket of Fruit,” is surrounded by mountains, has very pleasant and clean weather, and is full of pomegranate gardens.
This beautiful city has some international residents as well, such as Indians.
So you have the opportunity to experience their cuisine, as well as see different cultures.
Furthermore, lots of Zoroastrian families live in Taft and its vicinity. You can find Towers of Silence, Cypress Trees, Fire Temples, and so much more in this area.
Nartitee Ecolodge
When talking about Taft, the name of Nartitee Ecolodge is really bold, both as a peaceful accommodation, as well as a place for social gatherings and simply having fun.
This 100-year-old ancestral house has been renovated to accommodate guests in a humble atmosphere, which might be your most favorite stay through your Iran trip. Apart from the standards, Nartitee is all about the true spirit of Persian hospitality. While you can pick your fresh fruits from their garden and find peace and serenity like no other place, reach Yazd city center in 20 min by taxi (about 2 euros), you can be sure that Ramtin and Tina will take care of you like a family.
Nartitee Cafe:
in 2021, we bought another house near the Nartitee Ecolodge. This old but enchanting house is turned into a cafe and cultural house. The Nartitee cafe is open from 17:00 to 23:00, and you can enjoy delicious meals and drinks here. Also, a Dokan (shop) inside this house sells Iranian clothes and handicrafts. Finally, do not miss the rooftop, having your meal, and watching the clear, massive sky at night with billions of stars.
Things to do at Nartitee Ecolodge
If you’re a trekker, it will be a jackpot for you since Shirkooh (4000 m)is quite close.
Story and history telling, Bike renting, experiencing the dessert night silence full of star sky, visiting Zurkhaneh rituals, and getting stuffed with Iranian and Zoroastrian traditional foods are some of the things you will experience there.
Iran’s culture and history are among the most wondrous things you like to know about. Fortunately, Yazd Province in Iran is one of the places that still embraces its old and pure culture, Zoroastrianism. In Nartitee Ecolodge, you have the chance to live with Zoroastrians, observe their habits, and even participate in their ancient rituals.
