Q: Hi we want to yazd and stay a night in the desert. Is this possible?
Answer: Hi. Glad to see you planning to visit Yazd. Yeah it is several options but the easiest way is to go to desert camps in north of Yazd (Darvaze Quran Deserts) and stay in their simple accommodations (I’ll send photos) it’ll cost around 10 €/person to stay there (Shared Bathroom, No Breakfast)
There is also some possibilities for camping in the same area that I need to check the details if you are interested
Also, another option is the Bafq desert (100 km in east of Yazd) which is exactly in the middle of no where with beautiful night sky but the camp there is not active and you need to be back to Yazd at night
Question: we have accommodation but we like to stay 1 night in the desert because of the stars. We are also okay with not staying and just coming back after a campfire and stargazing
Answer: The desert in north of Yazd is nice but because it’s close to the city, not perfect for stargazing
If you have no other option, I can recommend to be in Bafq desert around sunset and driving back to Yazd the same night
